Survival Island

"You sure we have enough food? If you're sure, we can keep going, but if not, I need to know now...", I said with a grin.
"Yes, mistress Smith, completely sure.", said the man standing next to me on the small boat, also with a smirk.

"Well then- wait- oh God... what is that?! Behind us! OH GO-" The rest of my screams were drowned out by the sound of the Undead closing in around us, the green tinted skin hanging off their bones.
The last thing I heard was one last 'boom'.

I awoke with a loud groan. All of my muscles were sore, my head hurt like hell. Where was I? Where was Johnson? We had been on the boat one moment, but the zombies had overtaken us... and gotten into one of the boxes.

The box if tnt... the explosion must have somehow sent us here...

Where was here?

I tried to stand, only managing into a kneeling position, clutching the ground for dear balance.

The sudden turn of laying om my back with brown hair splayed behind me, to a crawling position, was too fast, and almost instantly I was retching what little fish and eggs I had consumed before the explosion.

I weakly stood, still holding to different rocks for support.

With great effort, I was able to accomplish a standing position, and took the moment to view my surroundings.

We were on a small island, off to one corner was a single tree, and the ground was made of mostly dirt and sand... mostly useless sand.

To my far right was a beat up chest, hopefully holding some supplies.

I was able to see some crudely made signs, letters etched into them.

I was just becoming comfortable in a very uncomfortable way, when a groan sounded, and a hand reached up from behind a large lump in the sand.

I screamed, as the hand numbly pulled itself up to standing, it was most likely one of the Undead!

Behind me, a hand clutched my shirt to my mouth, a separate hand grabbed a hold of my neck.
